There’s something truly magical about Osseo during the holidays: twinkling lights, the bustle of neighbors catching up over coffee, and that unmistakable sense of togetherness that makes our town feel like home.  

This past December, as someone who cares deeply about the people and places that make Osseo so special, I wanted to do something a little different to celebrate the season. 

That’s why I launched Hearing Health Clinic’s very first 12 Days of Giving! Inspired by the incredible spirit of generosity I see every day, this campaign was all about shining a light on the local businesses, charities, and individuals who go above and beyond for our community.  

I had the joy of sharing stories about some of your favorite Osseo gems, the folks who make our town such a wonderful place to live, work, and play. But honestly, the real gift was getting to celebrate the heart and soul of Osseo: its people. 

As I shared when we kicked things off, “The goal isn’t to promote ourselves but to give recognition to the people who make our town thrive.”

What began as Mary’s design career has grown into one of Osseo’s most charming destinations for thoughtfully curated home décor, unique gifts, kitchen essentials, stylish clothing, and accessories. Mary’s warm design support and keen eye transform everyday items into something truly special. 

Bisque Boutique is a reflection of Mary herself: creative, welcoming, and dedicated to helping others create spaces they love.

Duffy’s Bar & Grill 

For a true neighborhood hangout with great food and welcoming vibes, Duffy’s Bar & Grill is an Osseo staple.

Infinity Floral, owned by Lori Haakonson, is a vibrant boutique known for handcrafted, custom floral arrangements and outstanding customer service.  

Since opening in 2017, Lori has combined her creative design background with a passion for floral artistry, offering fresh flowers, personalized consulting, and unique home décor and gifts, including stylish, one-of-a-kind flannels.

Mexico De Corazon Restaurant 

If you’re looking for a great place to eat in Osseo, I have a recommendation: Mexico de Corazon. This charming spot is the latest addition to our town’s dining scene, and after trying it for lunch, I can confidently say the food is outstanding.  

From the first bite of their homemade chips, I knew I’d found a new favorite! 

Owner Monica Ortiz brings authentic Mexican flavors to every dish, using family recipes and fresh ingredients. Her passion for sharing her culinary heritage truly shines through.  

Whether you’re planning a lunch date or just passing through, be sure to stop by. There’s even a take-out counter for meals on the go! 

Mustang Girl Boutique 

Named for Heather Sargent’s long-time nickname due to her strength, independence, and courage, Mustang Girl is an incredible women’s boutique shop with cute, comfy, and on-trend styles. 

When I went to visit, I quickly became obsessed with the Merry shirt, along with just about everything else in there! 

Thank you to the Mustang Girl herself, Heather, for her contribution to our hamper. The wristlet she donated might just end up in my closet… 

Osseo Meat Market & Deli 

If you appreciate genuine craftsmanship and outstanding customer service, Osseo Meat Market & Deli is a must-visit.  

Owned by Dick and Fay Welk, this beloved Osseo staple offers a classic small-town experience: personal, high-quality, and full of charm.  

They’re renowned for their homemade sausages and jerky, made from locally sourced beef and pork, ensuring unbeatable freshness and flavor. I was quickly converted after trying out some of their goodies! 

During my recent visit, I met Fay, whose warmth and hospitality made the experience even more memorable. With friendly service, specialty meats, and a shop brimming with unique collectibles, Osseo Meat Market & Deli is a true community gem.

Painted Turtle Chocolatier 

Osseo is proud to be home to The Painted Turtle Chocolatier, voted Minnesota’s best chocolate shop by Chowhound. Every treat is handcrafted onsite by owner Jackie Van Norden, whose passion and charm shine through in every creation! 

If you’re searching for the perfect gift, look no further than The Painted Turtle. Jackie generously donated a delicious chocolate candy cane for our 12 Days of Giving basket, and anyone would be thrilled to receive fresh, high-quality chocolate from this award-winning shop. 

The 32nd Collective 

If you haven’t visited The 32nd Collective yet, you’re missing out. Stepping inside feels like a celebration of Minnesota nostalgia, Osseo, Maple Grove, and Park Center pride (shoutout to my fellow Park Center Pirates… sorry, Osseo!).  

You’ll find gifts that spark joy, school spirit gear, and a whole lot of local love. I’m obsessed with my cozy Lions hoodie! 

The heart behind it all? Aaron and Ashlynn, a husband-and-wife team who transformed their basement passion into one of Osseo’s favorite boutiques.  

Their shop bursts with MN-themed apparel, original designs, and unique collaborations, so you’re bound to find a winning gift for everyone you know in here.  

Every visit reminds me why I love this community: genuine connections, creativity, and a true hometown vibe. Make sure to swing by and soak in the atmosphere; you might just discover something special! 

The Black Cabin 

If you love DIY projects or supporting local artists, you have to check out The Black Cabin. Owned by Teresa Aho, whose great-grandfather’s family cabin inspired the name, this shop is a haven for creative souls.  

Teresa is a pro when it comes to paint, especially fusion mineral paints and general finishes, but you’ll also find a great selection of locally made gifts from various vendors. 

What really sets The Black Cabin apart are the monthly DIY classes and workshops held in their fantastic studio space. Be sure to browse their website for the latest offerings; if you sign up for the Sourdough Bread Class, you might even spot me there!
